Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in library science.

Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience in the field of library science, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Demonstrated knowledge of:

        standard library principles and practices.

        digital library services and procedures.

        the utilization of technology to deliver and enhance library service.

        budgetary practices and procedures.

        guide and channel resources, ideas and recommendations for problem solution and program refinement.

Demonstrated ability to:

        provide leadership in the implementation of best practices in library administration.

        measure and evaluate the effectiveness of library services against defined goals and objectives.

        keep informed of current developments in library management and technology.

        ensure that library materials meet the needs of a diverse District.

        effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.

        establish and maintain effective working relationships.

           
Certificates/Licenses:

• Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate for Supervisor, Library Science PK - 12
