Minimum Requirements
•Master's degree from an accredited college or university in library science.
•Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience in the field of library science, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
• Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate for Supervisor, Library Science PK - 12

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     Demonstrated knowledge of:

•        standard library principles and practices. o digital library services and procedures.

•        the utilization of technology to deliver and enhance library service. o budgetary practices and procedures.

•        guide and channel resources, ideas and recommendations for problem solution and program refinement.

Demonstrated ability to:

•        provide leadership in the implementation of best practices in library administration.

•        measure and evaluate the effectiveness of library services against defined goals and objectives.

•        keep informed of current developments in library management and technology. o ensure that library materials meet the needs of a diverse District. o effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.

•        establish and maintain effective working relationships.
