This is a full-time, PFT role. The salary grade for this posting is 0014A. The salary range is $35,238 to $59,026. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.

Job Summary

Assists administrative staff in the preparation, compilation and verification of information for reporting purposes. Assists with preparation of budgets and related financial information including but not limited to financial transactions. Work may include reviewing financial files and related reports. Work is performed under the general direction of an administrative supervisor. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks involved in maintaining financial records and processing related data such as invoices, vouchers and other documents; monitors and reconciles accounts with financial statements. 
  • Assists with preparing departmental budgets to include collecting data for budgetary projections according to established guidelines; assists in the preparation and coordination of grant proposals; monitors verities and reconciles grant funds as assigned.
  • Maintains records of departmental or divisional grants/contracts and budget expenditures, informs appropriate staff members of financial status. 
  • Analyzes financial information and prepares complex financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management. 
  • Complies financial information and prepares financial reports and statements reflecting various data for utilization by higher management. 
  • Prepares and maintains various financial forms and logs utilizing current technology both web based and spreadsheet based.

Minimum Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Three years of full-time, paid, clerical experience in a central budget agency, one of which has included using software applications to design spreadsheets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • standard clerical practices and procedures.
  • software applications used to design spreadsheets.
  • the English language and spelling.

  • current school district financial applications.

  • learn and apply School District procedures governing specific clerical procedures.
