Minimum Requirements

·   Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, strategic management or a related field.

·   Seven years of full-time, paid, professional administrative experience in recruitment and selection in a large school district, governmental agency or corporation  which has included the acquisition of personnel for all levels of positions, at least three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and directly accountable for the performance of multiple employees and has included extensive work with computer software, including but not limited to Taleo, Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.

 

            OR

 

·   Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, strategic management or a related field.

·   Five years of full-time, paid, professional administrative experience in recruitment and selection in a large school district, governmental agency or corporation  which has included the acquisition of personnel for all levels of positions, at least three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and directly accountable for the performance of multiple employees and has included extensive work with computer software, including but not limited to Taleo, Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.

 

NOTE: An applicant who does not meet the minimum education or work experience requirements listed above may be considered if, at the sole discretion of the Talent Office, they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicates potential for success in this role.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Demonstrated knowledge of:

o   the modern management principles, practices and procedures of Human Resources.

o   the procedures for recruitment, hiring and staffing.

o   administration and evaluation of services provided by a contractor.

o   supervisory methods and techniques.

o   the ADVANTAGEâ system or other Human Resources Information System applications which support human resources management.

o   the uses and capabilities of personal computers and their software applications, including Excel.

 

·   Demonstrated ability to:

o   effectively represent the District in a professional manner in a liaison capacity with external agencies.

o   effectively set goals, hold individuals accountable, and supervise the work of others.

o   make group presentations.

o   lead effective, collaborative team meetings.

o   exercise excellent attention to detail.

o   maintain records, analyze data, and use data to identify key levers for decisions.

o   exhibit discretion and tact when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

o   communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

o   establish and maintain effective working relationships.
