Job Summary
- Oversees school/community based or departmental programs and activities for the assigned office.
- Plans and implements new and innovative approaches for academic support or departmental operations through programmatic systems, intervention sequences, preventative activities or multi-disciplinary safety and multi-tiered systems of support for schools.
- Ensures all programmatic activities are implemented with fidelity and that the programs are in compliance with School District policies and procedures and grant stipulations or Act 89 and Title I and II guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Plans and implements activities which are designed to achieve the short and long-term goals for Academic Enrichment; plans and coordinates activities as directed by the Deputy Chief, Academic Enrichment to ensure the attainment of required outcomes.
- Responds to inquiries received from within the District and from external agencies; coordinates research activities in response to inquiries received or in an attempt to resolve problems; reviews information and/or data collected.
- Provides guidance to departmental staff in the development of specific and coordinated work plans; ensures that activities are executed in accordance with established timelines.
- Reviews and monitors the status of projects.
- Serves as a resource to other District offices and schools.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience in education which has included working with academic support programs in urban schools and has involved managing budgets, developing contracts and managing external community-based resources.
