Job Summary
Conducts strategic outreach to recruit high-quality, diverse, and qualified candidates for the School District of Philadelphia. Cultivates, screens and hires candidates and builds positive relationships with candidates applying for school-based support, instructional, administrative and central office positions. Meets the needs of the assigned areas by recruiting candidates who can work towards achieving the mission of the School District.
This is a full-time, 12-month non-represented role. The salary grade is 4024, which ranges from 53,834 with a midrange of 72,496 depending on experience.
Essential Functions
- Solicits and follows up on referrals from all District staff; strategically networks within and beyond the District and uses a variety of resources (social media, etc.) to identify and cultivate high-potential candidates.
- Generates an experienced and diverse hiring pool for all positions; maintains an up-to-date and accurate database for employee information, including application data and phone interview scores.
- Posts all positions on the District’s website and other sites; actively manages the posting and advertising of positions on a variety of job boards and online social networking communities.
- Analyzes recruitment data to develop/modify marketing and recruitment strategies; becomes an expert on the designated area of concentration for recruitment.
- Completes initial application reviews to identify the most promising candidates and phone interviews to assess the degree of potential fit for the position; manages an efficient system for tracking candidates and applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Conducts research on prospective talent and meets with candidates to cultivate for our open roles.
- Designs a screening process for all roles; coordinates and manages the interviewer process including scheduling, creating performance tasks and reference checks.
- Drafts, sends and manages the offer letter process.
- Facilitates weekly update meetings.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in human resources, recruitment or selection which has included developing and implementing strategies to recruit diverse and highly qualified candidates for an organization which uses high volume recruitment.
OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
