Job Summary

The ALICE Program Manager oversees all aspects of the ALICE violent critical incident training program for the
School District of Philadelphia.

Essential Functions: 

ALICE Specialty

  • Oversees all aspects of the ALICE violent critical incident training program for the School District of Philadelphia.
  • Collaborates with District and external stakeholders and serves as the primary point of contact to support the ALICE training program implementation.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and facilitates ALICE training sessions, drills, and refresher courses for District staff, students, and contract employees.
  • Develops systems to maintain and monitor ALICE drills for accountability and reporting purposes.
  • Maintains and monitors ALICE participation and training completion for District Central Offices and schoolbased staff and students.
  • Serves as lead ALICE trainer, regularly leading and facilitating trainings.
  • Tracks and monitors District, school-based, and external certified ALICE instructors to ensure certification, effective performance, and training compliance.
  • Reviews and updates District emergency response policies, procedures, and school-based safety plans.
  • Ensures training requirements are met for compliance.
  • Develops training materials.
  • Develops projects and program plans, and ensures that plans are coordinated and that activities are executed in accordance with established timelines.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners.

ALICE Specialty
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience in project management or program implementation involving grants.

OR
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in project management or program implementation involving grants.

Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • the methods and techniques utilized in effective program planning, design and administration.
  • the principles, practices and procedures utilized in effective training.
  • community resources available to support program initiatives.
  • supervisory methods and techniques.
  • accurate record keeping. 

Demonstrated ability to:

  • perform training and support adult professional learning.
  • make and successfully implement policy decisions affecting all program components.
  • exercise sound judgment and discretion interpreting and implementing professional development goals and objectives.
  • analyze data, prepare reports, and maintain records.
  • coordinate professional development activities.
  • assess the effectiveness of programmatic activities and to make cogent recommendations as needed.
  • use a personal computer for word processing and data management.
  • effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
  • establish and maintain effective working relationship
