Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience in an educational organization or a related field, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and has involved responsibility for network and/or school level instructional development.
  • All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • educational administration.
    • principles and practices of management and administrative concepts which apply to complex organizations.
    • strategic planning and coordination of large scale projects and initiatives.

        the effective use of technology in the delivery of staff development programs.  

                                 supervisory methods and techniques.

                           governmental mandates impacting education.

  • the principles, practices and techniques of academic pedagogy, trends and best practices.
  • the principles, practices and techniques of effective adult education.
  • Standards-aligned instruction, pedagogy, instructional supports, and evidence-based instructional practice.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to:

   build and maintain team cohesiveness and organizational strategies for success.

   effectively use performance indicators which measure success to guide feedback.

   understand the structure and purpose of high-quality common planning time sessions.

   understand the core curriculum and academic frameworks to lead efforts in supporting continuous improvement at both the network and school level.

   evaluate the effectiveness of professional development and implement changes as needed.

                           conduct research and analyze data to inform network and school supports.

                           gather, track, and use data to drive decision making and create detailed reports.

   expertly develop and facilitate presentations that engage adults in meaningful ways to impact practice.

                           exercise sound judgment and discretion.

                           communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

                           establish and maintain effective working relationships.
