Salary: beginning at $57,390

Job Summary
Provides administrative and analytic support to internal and external constituents. Designs, modifies, develops, maintains, and implements data software and tracking systems. Creates reports/dashboards, develops automated metrics dashboards of key business metrics at requested frequencies, and provides ad hoc data analysis. Troubleshoots, maintains databases, and serves as a resource to District personnel and representatives of external organizations.
Essential Functions
Fulfill data requests from upper District management, media sources, outside benchmarking organizations, government agencies, and other internal and external customers; refine requests for information to support improved decision-making.
Design, implement, maintain, validate, and analyze data maintained in databases to ensure accuracy; identify areas for data quality improvement and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
Prepare analytical data reports for multifunctional purposes on a regular and ad hoc basis; identify, map, and integrate new data sources.
Troubleshoot and provide end-user support for databases in the assigned division.
Create reports utilizing the District’s data warehouse.
Serve as a resource for development projects.
Provide data and technical support to various administrative offices and schools to enable data-driven decision-making.
Furnish data to external constituents to inform and foster positive relationships.
Develop reporting tools that capture pertinent academic and climate indicators such as school-wide and student-level performance data.
Develop clear, simple, visual displays of data that inform high-stakes decisions.
Talent Specialty
Review Talent trends, including turnover; create reports to monitor data quality and track changes in positions for instructional and non-instructional staff.
Collect, monitor, and report on Talent metrics to support departmental goals.
Collaborate with the lead Talent team to gather, create, and analyze data to establish key findings; ensure data adheres to documented standards and policies.
Compile and analyze periodic and ad hoc reports to support informed decision-making by the Talent team; resolve issues arising from data audits.
Assist in developing departmental databases as resource information repositories.
..Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience with database technology, educational data reporting and analysis, and/or educational performance data.
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent in collaboration with the assigned office.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated Knowledge of:
Various databases such as FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access
Reporting applications such as Crystal Reports and District mainframe Disystems
Google Docs
Applied statistics and using information to change behaviors and outcomes
Administrative policies and practices
Demonstrated Ability to:
Create and generate reports using Crystal Reports or other District reporting tools, analyzing data from the District’s mainframe system
Manipulate data using spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel
Prepare statistical reports using statistical software such as STATA or SPSS
Meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
Work independently in a fluid environment and as part of a team to accomplish goals
