Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience in education, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and have involved implementing instructional strategies.

The candidate must ensure that all of their relevant work experience is reflected on their resume prior to the submission of their application for District employment.
Certificates/Licenses
- Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate for K-12 or Elementary and Secondary Principal OR
- Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate to supervise reading for the literacy specialty
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- curriculum development and implementation and instructional strategies related to curriculum, content and problem-solving.
- the principles, practices and methods of education in Literacy or Mathematics, Science Social Studies or Dual Language/English Language Learners.
- a variety of pedagogical modalities.
- research related to the field of expertise.
- educational administration.
- supervisory methods and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to:
- apply research to practice.
- oversee and review benchmark test content and design.
- plan and administer strategies for effective system wide staff development. o communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships.
