Minimum Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

·   Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience, which has included facilitating educational placements for re-enrolling students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·   Considerable knowledge of:

    • the practices and procedures used to reenroll students.
      from court-ordered dependent and delinquent placement, restorations from
      expulsion and alternative placements.
    • the techniques and practices used when working with "at-risk" student
      populations.
    • laws, mandates, and consent decrees that govern alternative placement.

·   Demonstrated knowledge of:

    • techniques used in the development of policies and procedures.
    • the use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.

 

·   Demonstrated skill in:

    • negotiation and analysis.
    • prioritizing and managing competing assignments.

 

·   Ability to:

    • provide information on program goals and objective to District staff,
      students, parents, and representatives of community organizations.
    • learn District policies and procedures pertaining to alternative education.
    • work independently as well as part of a team.
    • handle multiple projects through to completion.
    • communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • establish and maintain effective working relationships.
