Liaison, Student Reentry and Transition
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience, which has included facilitating educational placements for re-enrolling students.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Considerable knowledge of:
- the practices and procedures used to reenroll students.
from court-ordered dependent and delinquent placement, restorations from
expulsion and alternative placements. - the techniques and practices used when working with "at-risk" student
populations. - laws, mandates, and consent decrees that govern alternative placement.
· Demonstrated knowledge of:
- techniques used in the development of policies and procedures.
- the use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
· Demonstrated skill in:
- negotiation and analysis.
- prioritizing and managing competing assignments.
· Ability to:
- provide information on program goals and objective to District staff,
students, parents, and representatives of community organizations. - learn District policies and procedures pertaining to alternative education.
- work independently as well as part of a team.
- handle multiple projects through to completion.
- communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships.
