Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in human resources which has included serving as a resource to administrators and providing guidance and support to effectively solve problems and support leaders by utilizing human resources practices effectively in such areas as staffing, recruitment and employee relations.

OR

  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
  • All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • human resources practices, policies and procedures used in a large organization to recruit, develop and retain a diversified workforce.
  • state and federal regulations as it pertains to employment.

Demonstrated skill in:

  • develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with functional, academic and administrative leaders.

  • develop appropriate solutions to resolve urgent human resources needs.
  • exhibit high level of integrity and personal responsibility for ensuring that problems are solved and hiring needs are met at any given point in time.
  • effectively manage & prioritize a high volume of work, from a multitude of work streams, in a fast-paced environment.
  • illustrate exceptional strategic & problem-solving skills and judgment.
  • ensure that the work of the matrixed team is effectively prioritized.
  • exercise sound judgment in the delivery of service and support to organizational leaders.
  • assess the effectiveness of the teams activities and to make cogent recommendations as needed.
  • self-initiate & self-direct workflow.
  • possess an unwavering commitment to equity.
  • communicate effectively both orally, and in writing.
  • use and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
