Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of full-time, paid, professional experience in a large scale food services operation, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity with responsibility for fiscal coordination, inventory procedures, quality control, and operational planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of:
o the operations of a large scale full service and satellite food preparation, production, service, facilities management and maintenance program. o inventory control, production scheduling and automated systems related to food services and other function supportive of mass feeding programs.
o the principles, methods and procedures commonly employed in the administration of a large scale food services program.
o USDA and public health regulations governing the delivery of food services for large public institutions.
o supervisory methods and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to:
o prepare comprehensive written and/or statistical reports..
o analyze existing policies and procedures and make cogent recommendations with regard to efficiency, cost and administration.
o oversee the maintenance of adequate and accurate records.
o communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
o establish and maintain effective working relationships.
