Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Two years of full-time, paid, professional, financial, investigative or law enforcement experience in a criminal justice, civil or administrative agency which has involved conducting financial, white collar or contract compliance investigations.
OR
-
Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of:
○ the scope, application and interpretation of the specific laws and regulations relating to the investigative jurisdiction of the OIG.
○ the rules of evidence, auditing standards, practices and procedures.
○ investigative principles and concepts.
○ software applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
○ investigative and interviewing methods and techniques.
○ specialized investigative devices and equipment.
○ the functions and jurisdictions of other federal, state and local agencies.

Ability to:
○ conduct an accurate, thorough and objective investigation.
○ use excellent written and verbal communication skills.
○ consistently demonstrate sound judgment.
○ be analytical and use analysis to assist in making decisions.
○ consistently meet deadlines and is able to handle several projects simultaneously.
○ use excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet applications and internet research.
