This is a full-time, Non-Represented role. The salary grade for this posting is 4030. The salary range is $93,322 to $121,556. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.
Essential Functions:
• As appropriate, directs a staff engaged in the development, implementation, and facilitation of special projects, programs, grants and activities in the assigned office; reviews and monitors the attainment of departmental goals by subordinate staff.
• Formulates and implements policies and procedures for the delivery of program services; ensures adherence to federal, state and local guidelines; develops standards to evaluate the effectiveness of programs; facilitates meetings with offices across the District to ensure alignment and effective program delivery.
• Represents the office at community meetings and other stakeholder events, as needed.
Leadership Development Specialty:
• Manages planning processes to improve the coherence and effectiveness of support for school leaders and schools, in collaboration with the Chief Schools Officer and Chief Schools Office (CSO) leadership team.
• Supports the CSO leadership in planning information sharing, collaboration, and/or development meetings for the CSO team, including all CSO Office Team, Assistant Superintendents, Professional Learning Specialists, Leadership Coaches, and other identified groups.
• Works closely with the Deputy Chief of Leadership Development and other team members to plan key strategic projects, and to ensure that high-priority initiatives are executed effectively in support of all functions of the office.
• Manages the Office of Leadership Development operations and ensures that the operational requirements and/or recommendations receive timely and appropriate attention, leadership and action.
• Collaborates with other District offices to ensure effective and timely executions of key collaborative projects that support the Office of Leadership Development, including professional development and leader support.
Minimum Requirements:
Leadership Development Specialty:
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in the field of education, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and have included responsibility for the development and/or coordination of programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
o the methods and techniques used in effective program planning, design and administration.
o supervisory methods and techniques
o budgetary practices and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to:
o interpret all relevant District, federal and state rules and regulations concerning program administration.
o maintain records and prepare reports.
o use a personal computer.
o effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
o establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Leadership Development Specialty:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
o the principles and practices of educational administration.
