Minimum Requirements
Grant Accounting Specialty
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience developing and implementing grant budgets, completing grant financial reports, and participating in the yearly financial close and grant close-outs, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
OR
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business or accounting.
- Nine years of full-time, paid, professional experience in grant accounting and financial reports, and participating in the yearly financial close and grant closeouts, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- Active license as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- budgeting and financial reporting concepts and principles.
- federal and state laws, guidelines and regulations governing the management of grants.
- the financial management and administration of federally funded programs.
- supervisory methods and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to:
- effectively problem-solve and mediate among parties.
- plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, develop and assess program funding.
- provide support and leadership in a variety of situations.
- develop and sustain good interpersonal relations.
- use a personal computer.
- communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships.
