Minimum Requirements

Sixty credit hours at an accredited college or university.

One year of full-time, paid, experience which has included the use of a computer and working in an urban setting
For the Bilingual Specialty

Performs the above mentioned duties while serving the needs of specific communities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:
-
the challenges facing students in an urban environment experiencing homelessness.
-
personal computer software applications that are used to create or maintain databases, design spreadsheets and create reports and documents.
-
basic concepts pertaining to post-secondary preparation for high school students.
Demonstrated ability to:
-
work independently on projects, meet deadlines and achieve goals.
-
provide information on program goals and objectives to students, parents and community organizations.
-
collaborate with community organizations, school staff and students.
-
work well with high school students.
-
implement administrative procedures in accordance with program guidelines.
-
interpret and apply the Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and align these mandates and strategies with the strategies of the ECYEH Program.
-
perform data entry, maintain records and prepare reports.
-
use word-processing and spreadsheet software.
-
operate a personal computer.
-
express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
-
establish and maintain effective working relationships.
For the Bilingual Specialty

Demonstrated ability to:
-
write and speak English and an appropriate foreign language fluently.

read English and an appropriate foreign language.
