Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in an academic discipline.
- Five years of full-time, paid experience as an appointed, certified, pre-k, elementary or secondary teacher in an urban school district which has involved providing professional development for adult learners.
Certificates/Licenses
- Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional certificate for the area of assignment - elementary certification required for K-8/middle schools and secondary certification required for high schools.
- Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania administrative or supervisory certificate.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:
- standards and current core curriculum.
- integrated curriculum.
- assessment – classroom-based and system wide.
- the assigned subject area.
- the full spectrum of differentiated instruction.
- academic diagnostics in relation to effective learning environments and instruction.
Demonstrated ability to:
- interpret, understand and apply data.
- provide support and coaching to teachers and principals.
- communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships.
