Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of full-time, paid, professional facilities services operations experience, five of which has been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and has included responsibility for a large complex of public or industrial buildings.
OR
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
o the practices and procedures essential in buildings and grounds service and maintenance activities.
o maintenance and scheduling procedures as they apply to building and grounds operations and maintenance.
o building services management technology.
o supervisory methods and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to:
o plan and direct through subordinate supervisory personnel, the activities of a large professional and non-professional staff.
o estimate labor, material and time factors involved in a variety of building and grounds maintenance projects.
o compile financial and operational data.
o communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
o prioritize and effectively manage work order backlog.
o establish and maintain effective working relationships.
