Minimum Requirements 

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university. 

Five years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience, which have involved  working in an educational setting and has included managing grants and working with  community or corporate partners, at least three of which have been in a supervisory or  administrative capacity. 

NOTE: An applicant who does not meet the minimum education or work experience  requirements listed above may be considered if, at the sole discretion of the Talent Office,  they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicates potential  for success in this role. 

The candidate must ensure that all of their relevant work experience is reflected on their resume prior to the submission of their application for District employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Demonstrated knowledge of: 

o current practices to improve student achievement and accelerate learning.

o laws and regulations governing categorical programs related to Out of School  Time and expanded learning. 

o curriculum design, planning, development, implementation and evaluation.

o budget development and control. 

o grant writing and the application process. 

o federal, state, and city grant requirements and compliance measures.

o resources and funding opportunities for sustaining, renewing, and implementing new initiatives in service of students. 

o the principles and practices of leadership, management, supervision and training. 

o technology and computer software applications relative to education and administration. 

o personal computer software applications including PowerPoint.

o supervisory methods and techniques. 

Demonstrated ability to: 

○ interpret School District policies and procedures related to grant process, application and implementation. 

○ manage large or complex projects and/or budgets. 

○ plan, organize, and direct project activities and allocate staff resources to tasks efficiently. 

○ analyze and resolve complex problems. 

○ represent a superior at meetings and conferences. 

○ stimulate and motivate cooperative team effort and provide leadership.

○ use a personal computer. 

○ effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. 

○ establish and maintain effective working relationships.
