Minimum Requirements
∙ Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or a criminal justice related field.
∙ Ten years of full-time, paid, professional experience, five of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and have included responsibility for advising District staff about student rights, directing and coordinating student discipline, hearings and expulsion activities for a large urban school district.
OR
∙ Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school or university.
∙ Ten years of full-time, paid, professional experience, five of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and have included responsibility for advising District staff about student rights, directing and coordinating student discipline, hearings and expulsion activities for a large urban school district.
All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.

supervisory techniques.

McKinney-Vento law and procedures.
the Juvenile Act.
Act 126 and Act 138.
Pennsylvania School Code.
Supervising a large team.
Demonstrated ability to:
interpret, apply and explain laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
monitor and evaluate program and personnel effectiveness based on established goals and objectives.
analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
resolve a variety of issues, conflicts, complaints and problems related to student discipline.
perform a wide variety of administrative duties.
manage complex processes and supervise staff.
lead teams of senior officials and executives.
present ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
establish and maintain effective working relationships.
