Minimum Requirements
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field.
• Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience outside the classroom in a leadership role.
The candidate must ensure that all of their relevant work experience is reflected on their resume prior to the submission of their application for District employment.
Certificates/Licenses
• Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional II certificate in Special Education.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
○ federal and state legislation regarding special education.
○ current special education consent agreement requirements.
○ Individualized Education Plans.
○ action plans to ensure compliance.
○ the uses and capabilities of personal computers and their software applications.
Demonstrated ability to:
○ assist schools in the development and implementation of action plans.
○ provide technical assistance on special education compliance.
○ provide large scale, content specific trainings and professional development for adult learners.
○ manage data including interpretation, solutions and applications.
○ create, maintain and use data for planning and decision making.
○ problem solve and mediate among parties.
○ communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
○ establish and maintain effective working relationships.
