Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or professional counseling or marriage and family therapy.

  Three years of full-time, paid, professional experience in school-based behavioral health performing family counseling, social work, behavioral health referrals/interventions, outreach work with at-risk children in a school or community setting which has included providing Functional Behavioral Assessment training. 

  Experience must align with Pennsylvania Code 5240.71- Staff Qualifications for Individuals Services.

Certificates/Licenses

       Licensed Social Worker  OR

       Licensed Clinical Social Worker  OR 

       Licensed Professional Counselor  OR 

       Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

OR 

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, education or related field with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work or counseling

Certificates/Licenses

       Licensed Social Worker  OR

       Licensed Clinical Social Worker  OR 

       Licensed Professional Counselor  OR 

       Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

AND

  One year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults.

  Completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum.

  Experience must align with Pennsylvania Code 5240.71- Staff Qualifications for Individuals Services.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

   Demonstrated knowledge of:

o   the principles, practices and techniques of behavioral health, counseling, or social work. o the principles, practices and techniques of Functional Behavioral Assessment.

o   the principles, practices and techniques of data management.

 

   Demonstrated ability to:

o   provide support on behavior management and identify appropriate interventions. o conduct and interpret functional behavioral assessments.

o   prioritize and manage work assignments. o collaborate with school staff and families.

o   use a personal computer. o effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.

o   establish and maintain effective working relationships.
