Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • One year of full-time, paid, professional experience in either investigation, security, law enforcement, criminal justice and/or auditing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • the current uses and capabilities of personal computers, databases and their software applications, including Word and Excel.
  • effective communications techniques and procedures.
  • effective interviewing techniques.

 

    • Demonstrated ability to:
  • analyze, assess and draw conclusions based on a multitude of complex documents and data, including but not limited to policies, procedures and financial documents.
  • write succinct and organized reports.
  • exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters.
  • interact and collaborate with others effectively.
  • organize tasks and assignments, manage time efficiently, meet deadlines and multitask.
  • interpret District policies and guidelines to District personnel.
  • learn routine auditing practices and procedures.
  • learn investigative principles and concepts.
  • communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, staff, governmental officials, and the general public.
