Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in education, three of which have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity and have included responsibility for

developing and implementing staff development programs in alignment with educational initiatives for instructional staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:

○        professional and educational Arts programming.

○          the modern principles, practices and methods of elementary and secondary Arts

education.

○   the current principles and theories of school improvement, child development and adult educational methodologies .

                       ○        the current best practices in curriculum, instruction and assessment.

                        ○        the effective use of technology in the delivery of staff development programs.

                        ○        supervisory methods and techniques.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to:  

○   assess professional development needs and plan, develop, and implement professional development to improve teaching and learning practices.

  • effectively project manage multiple simultaneous short term and long term programs and initiatives.

○   provide leadership in designing and developing professional development to meet identified needs and initiatives.

  • Ability to:

○        use a personal computer.

○        communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

○        establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Certificates/Licenses

  • Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania administrative certificate or supervisory certificate in Elementary or Secondary Education or
  • Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania certificate for K-12.
