This is a full-time, 12-month, non-represented position. The salary grade is 4030, starting at $93,322, commensurate with experience and aligned to ensure internal equity with similarly situated roles.

Job Summary

Coordinates and provides professional development and support to Roster Chairs, Assistant  Roster Chairs High, Elementary scheduling designees and Elementary School Principals.  Supports the implementation of a quality resource plan in the schools in their respective  networks through focused planning. Participates in the formulation of educational plans,  reform initiatives and/or other academic improvement strategies.

Essential Functions

Office of School Organization & Management

High School Level Specialty

• Supports the initiatives of the Office of School Organization by working closely with Assistant Superintendents and Principals.
• Uses the Scheduling module in the Student Information System (Infinite Campus) for the support of all Roster Chairs and Principals.
• Becomes proficient in the functions of Infinite Campus as they relate to scheduling and report building.
• Supports high schools in planning the use of annual budget funding to create schedules that maximize student and staff opportunities while adhering to academic requirements and district mandates.
• Provides assistance to all schools in the opening days of schools as well as during summer programs.
• Develops and implements a timetable to achieve short and long-term goals; ensures that scheduling activities are aligned with other School District initiatives.
• Provides information on grades, credits, transfer approval information and other statistics requested during the course of the school year.
• Assists former District parents and students in correcting errors recorded on transcripts from 1989 until the prior year.
• Maintains and updates the School District Course Catalog.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.

  • Seven years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience, at least three of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity and have involved working with the Infinite Campus or a related School District systems. 

OR 

  • Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.

  • Seven years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience, at least three of which have been in a Roster Chair capacity and have involved working with the Infinite Campus or a related School District systems.

     

     

    NOTE: An applicant who does not meet the minimum education or work experience requirements  listed above may be considered if, at the sole discretion of the Talent Office, they have a unique  combination of education and work experiences that indicates potential for success in this role.

Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • school reform initiatives and current issues facing urban public education.

  • governmental mandates impacting education.

  • budgetary practices and procedures.

  • software applications used to maintain databases

  • multiple scheduling system

Demonstrated ability to:

  • plan, develop and implement staff development workshops.

  • interpret all relevant District and federal rules and regulations concerning program administration.

  • guide and channel resources, ideas and recommendations for problem solution and program refinement.

  • handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • gather, manage and interpret data.

  • maintain records and prepare reports.                      

  • use a personal computer.

  • effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.

  • establish and maintain effective working relationships.
