Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of full-time, paid, professional, experience in education, research or program development which has included analyzing and evaluating day-to-day operations and implementing initiatives.   
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • The principles and practices of public administration, particularly as related to organization and management, planning, research and budget.
    • Strong project management and time management practices and procedures.
    • Excellent relationship-building and how to interact with others effectively.
    • Research methodologies and analysis techniques.
    • The current methods, processes and techniques utilized in the implementation of initiatives.
    • District structure, policies and practices.
    • Supervisory methods and techniques.
    • Budgetary practices and procedures.
    • Use of a wide variety of productivity and scheduling tools.

 

    • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Plan and direct departmental operations and allocate staff resources to tasks efficiently.
  • Guide and channel resources, ideas and recommendations for problem resolution.
  • Effectively lead and manage a work team.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Manage and interpret data.
  • Use a personal computer.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally an in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
