Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university in education, educational administration or a related field.
  • Ten years of full-time, paid, professional educational experience, at least five of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
  • All work experience related to the position must be included on the resume.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of:

○    the educational and administrative process of school organization and management.

○    District administration procedures, goals and guardrails.

○    supervisory and coordination techniques as they apply to program and personnel development.

○    student enrollment and placement related board policies, procedures, goals and guardrails. 

    • administrative and student record retention policies and procedures.

○    governmental mandates impacting education.

Demonstrated ability to:

  • coordinate and oversee the work of staff and attain effective results.
  • lead and manage a team of people with diverse skills, duties, and responsibilities.
  • present cogent, informed presentations to the Board of Education and city officials.
  • analyze and use data to inform and support decision making.
  • evaluate data and prepare cogent recommendations.
  • exercise sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures and in making consistent informed decisions.
  • analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • use a personal computer.
  • communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships.
