This is a full-time, Non-Represented role. The salary grade for this posting is 4017. The salary range is $31,209 to $50,410. Please note that the final salary will be determined by our Classification and Compensation team after reviewing the candidate's experience and considering our internal salary equity.

Job Summary

Provides support to School District staff, prospective candidates, prospective students and parents as they apply for various positions in the schools, central offices and learning networks or are encouraged to participate in various parental engagement opportunities. Ensures that customer satisfaction is preserved and maintains a log of the inquiries received and/or that parent involvement activity is documented by school and grade. 

For the Charter Schools Office, provides information to families and the public regarding charter school operations. Responds to charter school related concerns and complaints, and performs administrative tasks.  Works closely with School Advisory Councils in Renaissance Charter Schools to support their development and school engagement.

Essential Functions

Transportation Specialty

  • Coordinates and monitors information flow between dispatch/scheduling and parents, schools and bus drivers.
  • Effectively manages and resolves complaints.
  • Provides ongoing customer support and responds to all in bound phone calls.
  • Follows up with parents and schools with information regarding transportation issues.
  •  Monitors live GPS feed to confirm and disseminate reports of busing issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Four years of full-time, paid, customer support experience which have involved using a database to log inquiries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of:

  • methods and techniques associated with effectively addressing numerous inquiries.

  • office principles, practices and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to:

  • maintain a log of the inquiries received.

  • interact with the public.

  • maintain records and prepare reports.

 

Ability to:

  • learn and explain the personnel policies and practices of the School District.

  • use computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • establish and maintain effective working relationships.
