Climate Manager - Talent Pool (SY 22-23)

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of full-time, paid professional experience working with children with behavioral and/or disciplinary issues in a school.

OR

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of full-time, paid professional experience working with children with behavioral and/or disciplinary issues in a school.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of:

• Theories and principles of student growth and development.
• The principles, practices and procedures of school climate systems and implementation.
• Techniques of supervision and the delegation of responsibility.
• Current social, educational, and economic issues as they relate to urban families.

• Knowledge of:

• Evidenced-based school climate strategies.
• Restorative and/or positive behavioral principles and practices.
• The development of an effective school climate structure and evaluation of services.
• Databased decision-making.

• Ability to:

• Assess, advise, direct and supervise the activities of personnel engaged in the provision of non-instructional services.
• Operate a personal computer.
• Express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Effectively supervise the implementation of the Student Code of Conduct.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
