Assistant Director, Charter Schools Office
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Six years of full-time, paid, professional experience, at least two of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity working with charter schools.
OR
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in economics, public policy, mathematics, computer science or other related field.
- Four years of full-time, paid, professional experience in educational data reporting and analysis and/or educational performance management, at least one of which have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity coordinating projects
OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent in collaboration with the Office of Information Technology and Data Management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of:

- research techniques.
Demonstrated skill in:
- charter school operations, academic programming and charter school contracts.
- Pennsylvania Charter School Law and relevant laws pertaining to charter schools.
- Pennsylvania Public School Code requirements as applicable to charter schools.
- project management tenants and tools.
- the principles of public administration and their application to resource allocation and the coordination of services to schools.
- writing technical/analytical documents.
- prioritizing and managing competing assignments.
- project and time management
Demonstrated ability to:
- pay superior attention to detail.
- analyze complex problems and create viable solutions.
- exercise sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
- make cogent decisions and recommendations.
- prepare and present written and oral reports as well as slide decks.
- deliver projects with quality and on time.
